Miniature Golf Photos
Here is a waterfall over a cave at the Mountasia in Plano, Texas.
Caves make it possible to route multiple miniature golf courses on the same land where players on one course play through with a golf hole inside while players on another course play over the top of it.
Miniature golf holes with banks and natural rock borders to putt on are fun and inviting for families. The mature landscaping makes this a cool private place.
Here is a three tiered golf hole next to a waterfall. The top level is above the player's head behind the rock retaining wall and has one pipe golf balls roll through leading to the bottom level and one pipe leading to the middle level.
Streams add to the fun of a miniature golf course with golf holes on both sides. Small dams create a stair step of pools and small waterfalls on courses without much topography. The rock borders prevent mulch and grass clippings from washing into the water system.
This is a photo of Mountasia of North Cobb shortly after it opened in 1989. It became the first Mountasia Family Fun Center with a gameroom addition in 1991, a bumper boat lagoon conversion in 1992 (removing the left island in front and adding a dock), and a go-kart track addition with the purchase of additional land in 1993. The miniature golf holes were reconfigured to retain all 54 holes with each expansion. |
